Self Catering Accommodation
in Sodwana Bay, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa

Toad Tree Cabins - A fully equipped affordable destination for divers and holiday-makers on the Zululand coast.

Situated amongst the indigenous bushveld, the cabins offer the visitor exceptional biodiversity with the occasional sightings of red duiker and smaller game.  The camp belongs to you, no noise or lights, just the African sunset, the campfire and the stars.

The rustic baracca is central to the outdoor entertainment area with a lounge and dining area flowing out onto the splash pool, to enable you to take full advantage of the warm summer evenings. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a separate braai and boma for guests to relax, exchange tales and watch the sparks fly into the dusk, the only sound, a log shifting in the flames, and the occasional beat of an African drum.

Toad Tree has 5 two-bed wooden cabins with en-suite open-air ablutions.  One cabin has a double bed and bathtub and one cabin has twin beds with inside ablutions.  Guests using the cabins have the use of the outdoor entertainment area with a lounge and fully equipped self-catering kitchen.

There is a self-catering brick cottage which can sleep between 4 and 8 people, with 2 double beds and 4 single beds.  The cottage has a lounge, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with an outdoor shower.

The camp has electricity, hot water, three carports and a splash pool.  All the cabins and bedrooms have fans, linen, pillows, blankets, comforters, bedside lamps, plug points and electric mosquito repellents, and are serviced daily.

All this in a peaceful garden setting, 10 minutes from the beach.  Please note that wherever you stay in Sodwana Bay, you will have to drive to the beach as the dunes are protected, and no accommodation overlooks the beach or the sea.

Sodwana Bay is situated in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park which is a proclaimed World Heritage Site and as such has remained almost untouched by development. The beach facilities include a tuck-shop and ablutions. There is a convenience store inside the Park and a supermarket and bottle store 4km from the cabins at Mbazwana. Sodwana Bay has only one restaurant and coffee shop.
